ABOUT US
My Why
As a child, I have experienced the socioeconomic barriers and social stressors that has plagued my community. Factors such as poverty, limited resources, illiteracy, financial illiteracy, and the breakdown of the family system which has systemically affected the advancement of minorities. In response to these issues, I was determined to be a catalyst of change and devote my life to empowering, supporting, and teaching people how to overcome adversity and live productive lives.
EXPERIENCE
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Florida. I am also a Qualified Supervisor for mental health counselor interns. Furthermore, with my years of education, research, along with 20 years of training in the social service field, such as: mental health, child welfare, crisis counseling, support services, clinical case management, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Corrections, and clinical counseling; I am able to identify an individual needs, develop a coaching plan, and/or treatment plan, implement services to support the growth, and advancement of the individual in need.
